For what it's worth I just finished a trip and the last FO (rerouted trip of course) said what the original poster said. The FO told me he was in a lounge when a union rep, who the FO named, stated that Elliot wants to furlough 2,500 pilots.
This very well could be EIM spreading their own FUD but this rumor is floating around.

I heard Elliott wants to furlough 6000 pilots and push the FAA to change the regs so we can have the FA rest rules and no block limits. Everyone hired in 2016 onward should be expecting a furlough notice.

I heard Elliott wants to furlough 6000 pilots and push the FAA to change the regs so we can have the FA rest rules and no block limits. Everyone hired in 2016 onward should be expecting a furlough notice.

RJS left his morning dump in the family bathroom in DAL and it told me that a union guy said that Elliott wants to furlough 1222 pilots so that they can be better than Gary Kelly and that every FO has to go serve cokes once we level off at cruise so that the extra flight attendant can hock credit cards.
