Yea that's great and all except for new hires who haven't had a chance to save for it....Been furloughed before at a regional. Personally I'd give up part of my check to keep everyone on property....

I won’t because you might as well pi$$ into the wind for all the good it will do to save jobs. Execs will take part of your paycheck and then give themselves bonuses for cutting costs.

I certainly won’t. Our salary’s have nothing to do with furloughs. Our pay cuts won’t solve anything except make you feel better until the c suite screws you for it. Any newb that isn’t saving serious money right now is crazy.

This is the way. Concessions are a scam. They will take your concessions and then furlough anyhow. This has always been the way management behaves. Don't fall for it. Max pay to the last day.

I tend to think furlough rumors are way out of line at this point. Last I heard there's a capacity crunch (thanks boeing) which drives up prices and RASM.

Unless somebody is seeing a precipitious decline in summer and winter holiday bookings?

Would I believe NK furloughs? Yeah. SW? I don't think so. Interested, impartial observer.

Yeah, sure. First, who are these mystical "union guys"? Second, what kind of idiot beleives even for a fraction of a second the we FOs, especially junior ones, would be privvy to info that nobody else seems to have?

My first year, I was in a “new FO” chat group at my base. I had to exit it. What a bunch of whiny, scared, weirdos that perpetuated every stupid and unbelievable rumor. It made me feel bad for the El Capitans that had to fly with these guys. This is a perfect example…

That's the first problem believing anything a SWAPA rep says. There there to enhance their resume for that GO job. Just look at all previous ones over there now.

For what it's worth I just finished a trip and the last FO (rerouted trip of course) said what the original poster said. The FO told me he was in a lounge when a union rep, who the FO named, stated that Elliot wants to furlough 2,500 pilots.

This very well could be EIM spreading their own FUD but this rumor is floating around.
