They’re all in hard denial. SWA won’t be hiring for years. They over hired pilots for expectations of Max 7’s that will never be on property. It doesn’t help when the LCC model is dead. SWA has dug themselves deep into a small margin, small profit airline that can take heavy losses quickly depending on market conditions. I’d say the furlough rumors are valid. They’re going to need to shrink to profitability. SWA will become a niche airline like Allegiant Air.
