Not to pile on, but I am definitely in the anti GAS club when it comes to FA work rules. If they want to risk it, have at it as long as I am legal per the Feds on required crew. Buh bye. I am not responsible to know the ins and outs of the FA manual.
Besides, commuter code is to cover for someone if they have to make a commute flight. I have done it many times for other pilots who had to bolt. I have had it done for me.

I agree with who cares. In this case they would not let us board at the departure city so we ended up even later , made it so the pilots could not make there commute flights home. ( that was my point in the first place, they would not let the ops agent board till 30 min prior to the reschedule later departure time, thinking the 30 min to be on the AC rule applies for every flight .
The rescheduled late departure time at SWA is now the new on time .
I just fly the jet

You can't handle the truth? I fly with guys all the time who sit up there in the cockpit and complain about the rampers not working fast enough, or the FA not doing their job. Does not seem like we are doing our jobs very well with all the close calls, maybe we should be worried about doing our jobs and not everyone elses for a change. Also can't count how many times I've been on DH and I see the flight attendants getting bounced around and the seat belt sign is off. there is no annoucement or anything, and then the FA's make a comment they have not heard anything from the cockpit. Or DH in the back, and it's hot in the back, but instead of using common sense and starting the APU, while on the ground. More than once I have walked up to the cockpit and said hey guys its roasting back here. Again not doing our jobs, and I see it lot out of PHX with the ground air there Jester? You guys need to get on the ball!
