I was reading that SWA bylaws allow investors to force a shareholder vote at any time as long as they own at least 10% of stock in the company. That would explain why Elliott’s stake is just above that threshold when they routinely only buy 4% or so of other companies in their activist takeovers.
I think both GK and Bojo will be canned in the coming days as part of the negotiations behind the scenes.

But the Flagship Lounges are some of the best lounges in the US. I'll take any of them over Polaris or Delta SkyClubs all day long.

Bob is living on borrowed time. If he hasn't started clearing his stuff out of his desk, he is a bigger fool than I thought. My guess is that they are lining up a successor, getting a transition plan together, and then he will be put out to pasture with a nice golden parachute.

I would be too. I hope it does not happen. But that is what these vulture at Elliot do, their only interest is too get the stock price up so they can cash in. They do that buy cutting, cutting, they have no interest in SWA other than that.
