I heard it from a standards check pilot normal FO hiring won't return, as of now, until 2026. There will be 3-4 D225 classes for 2025.

Right now there are about 6,100 Captains, and 5,500 F/O’s. In the next year we retire approximately 180 Captains.

Ooooffffffffffff!!! Probably at least 10 plus years to upgrade for the 2022-2023 hires.

I mean in fairness that isn’t out of this world timing. We have had that long of an upgrade path before here and u less things change drastically we will be seeing it once again, or close to it.

I have that poster blocked because they troll, but in this case they might be right.

When I got hired here they told me with a straight face that I would be stuck in Oakland for a minimum of 3 years and upgrade was 15 best case scenario.
Upgrade was very recently 6 years. The only thing constant around here is change.

True, WHEN we FINLLY get MAX 7s, and Boeing gets the green light to start producing MAXs at full capacity again, I'm willing to bet that with the peak retirements things here are gunna move fast.
