Harder to move rsv blocks around if jr and VA will get rid of 2 blocks.

Vacation is clearly the best way to get time off. If you can't move a vacation week, though, elitt and our very liberal sick policy are great substitutes. I think that's the point.
Yes, reserve sucks, especially right now since you can't trade it with the company, but reserve has its own ways like single day sick calls where you can work it to your advantage.

Yea I get it.. When it comes down to it, go to work when you want to here at SWA. I flew with some guy that was missing his daughters prom or something once. Just blew my mind, if there is a good BBQ at my friends house I will be there, haha.

Same. I work to live. Not the other way around.

Totally. I don’t miss a damn thing that I don’t want to miss (and I’m not senior in my seat).

Flew with a guy once who was pretty annoyed to be at work because he was sick and day 2 was his 20th wedding anniversary and his wife was ****ed that he couldn't get it off.

I turned to him and asked him "what the .... Are you doing here??"

I'm sure he's still happily married. And yeah I got sick after that trip too.

Agreed...but this brings up another issue...reserve blocks drop with no addtional pay. So now I have a month off but less than 70TFP.

I know...junior CA problems, but getting that check on the 20th that is smaller than your 5th check is kinda demoralizing.

Seen it. Atleast he admitted he was sick and didn't pull the "It's just allergies" routine.

I take the days off and then pick up around what days I’m gonna be gone to get the credit up. Bidding blanks through summer so will see if it’s rsv heavy or trips at my seniority.

Bottom 30%+ of the blanks are all reserve or maybe one trip.

I needed the time off with a vacation drop this month so I just bid reserve. Wasn't worth rolling the dice. Hurts only getting 26.5 for a vacation week though, that's for sure.
