My wife doesn’t have a clue how to get on CWA. We have a DEN guy whose wife flew his butt off for a couple years then got a divorce.

My wife volunteered to bid lines for me. I let her do it—I tell her to bid PMs first. Whatever I get is her doing. No more complaining about what I bid! (It will be a blank line)

While it's true that you can get whatever summer week off you want regardless of you actual vacation, making 400+ TFP in a summer month does require vacation.

what exactly do you consider "odd" about caring to schedule and conduct a vacation?

He just means a strategic sick call and moving some trips will give you a vacation no matter what month it is.
