This economy is slow rolling into a deep recesssion. The slower we enter, the slower we exit. The economy is being proped up by deficit spending and goverment spending. All the signs have been there. Fed EX CEO last year said, the economy was slowing. Many experts like Jamie Dimon and others have been saying the same thing for over year as well, but everyone said these guy were smoking crack because they supported Trump policies. Now we have a Airline furloughing, how soon before others follow suite if they cannot get their cost under control? And then there are all these new contracts, how long before the Airlines come back and ask for concessions to keep from laying off? Remember never let a good crisis go to waste. The rest of this year and first quarter of next year is going to be very interesting.

Different. More CAs looking for odd months when others aren’t off. Or summer months to get prem over the prime vac weeks. ELITT is the same. There used to be more weekday pairing dumped in. Net zero is usually different also. But I think with where lines are going all this might be changing.

I always thought the CA side had a lot more juice in the vacation trades just from watching what was posted in the swapa forum or Facebook. More weeks per person seems like it equals more grease for the machine.
It’ll be nice my last ten years here. I won’t be tied to summer vacation or popular vacation weeks any more and I’ll be maxed out on weeks unless we snag another week of vacation in contract 2032.

I don’t care how or what you bid…not sure if the old guys know what’s going on with the new rules. Taught one guy in the jet bridge this week what LCO pays for trip changes after he was upset about a reroute….he was pretty happy after I told him what his trip was worth now. 🤷🏼♂️

just saw a CA who was senior and under the cap bid straight on a POT before RSV trip. He was the only bidder.

In the past two years, the FO side has been depleted by new hires getting IOE month lines. That should die down with new hires being a lot less plentiful.

I notice the same lots of times. Usually the same pilots that have 1600 TFP sick.
