That’d be nice. Avoid the 2 yr seat lock.

According to our SWAPA Prez in the Podcast recorded on 24 Jan we won’t see the MAX 7’s until 2027.

Might not be a suit. There's a NOC Chief who drives a Mclaren. Had a keychain or something with Mclaren on it and someone asked him about it during a NOC tour a year or so ago, didn't get into color.

I agree. If it does show up 27' might be optomistic. No way SWA can go 3+ years without new 150 seat or less aircraft. We cant take 8s that long.

That’s always been the case. A new hire getting a captain vacancy in indoc has to opt to “lock in” the award (if they want it) or keep it open for future vacancies in hopes that a more senior bidder will take it (if they don’t want it). But no, they can’t just simply bid off if they don’t want it. Plus, we just had a new vacancy bid open yesterday with an additional 130 captain vacancies, mostly on the 737. New vacancy bids would stop before they start allowing new upgrades to simply bid out of the seat.

Any rumors of them not running classes for three months is nothing more than rumors right now. Even if true (which it may or may not be), no classes are being “cancelled”. They just aren’t going to run. Nobody with a CJO has been assigned any of those class dates yet.

Any pause in classes is just a pause until they realign with the new planned delivery schedule. In addition, a reduction in the size of new hire classes over summer has been talked about for a while in order to make room for the large amounts of upgrades coming through. The sky most certainly isn’t falling yet.

Gotcha. NOC Chief makes sense. Definitely sticks out in the lot.

The 787 rumor is laughable. They won't even figure out how to copy the ridiculous Delta "trading cards" until 2030. And by then they will have gone the way of beanie babies. And we'll fly em like a 200. Because "I know in my heart......"

For all of you that haven’t been on property that long, take it from us…..

…….The longer you’re around this clown show of an airline, the more you realize just how ridiculous rumors of 787s are.
