Haha thank you. Flying is the easy part, but systems are most definitely not my thing (I still believe that the best explanation of electricity is 'it's magic',) so the more I can start soaking up now, the better.

Three years ago many would’ve said that they’d be shocked if the MAX 7 was still sitting around in 2024, so….

Btw - anyone knows which overpaid exec drives the yellow Mclaren to TOPS?
Don’t know but they certainly have good taste. I mean, not like Mazda Miata good taste, but good taste none the less.

I used to write it down somewhere during the flight on the Max because, as you clear the runway, some idiot at Boeing decided that was a good time to erase it from the screen. Initial contact with ground control is a terrible time to play the "Who the hell am I?" game!

Now that we can load flight plans by flight number, I no longer need to do that, becuase JeppFD puts the flight number in the upper-left corner if you loaded the flight that way. Nice improvement.

Haha let me guess...SWA didn't pay for that option?

How do y'all verify that MX didn't hook the ailerons up backwards after a C-check? I guess you can lean out the window and look...

That’s exactly what we do and you’ll be disappointed to know that if there’s any form of precip it’s the FO’s job (just like the preflight).

Personally I enjoy doing the walkaround simply because when you splash around in that unforgettable mixture of Type I, Type IV, MIL-5606, water, ice, salt, blue juice, unidentified bodily fluids, Jet-A, and God knows what else, it gives your shoes a kind of special sheen that you just can't get anywhere else...
