By someone who regularly spreads mistruths with no source to back it up.

This thread is funny. Everybody is so certain SWA is a sinking ship that they are willing to bet their future on sticking around and watching it happen. Riiiiight.

Melodramatic doesn't even begin to cover it.

Leadership brief yesterday. About 900 new hires and 400 upgrades. 2024 going to be a slow year.

Makes sense. Anybody seen how captains are doing in the open time department?
Those unrigged 3 days are flying off the shelf. Glad I am budgeted for guarantee.

Still haven't heard a peep from crew planning or anyone else about a change.

Depends on the time of year, but yes, reroutes are fairly common.

I’ve been here about 15 months and have had it happen twice, both if which actually made my trip easier. I think everyone’s mileage will vary.

I've been on reserve for a few months now and have been rerouted 1 time. YMMV based on domicile and AM vs PM. In my experience the AM side of the operation is much more stable...but there's more money to be made on the PM side due to the changes.

No reroutes on rsv so far this month. Last month I didn't have any with a line. Oct was reroute city...almost every rsv trip.

With 300 retirements in '24 and if 300 leave like this year and we only hire 900, thats only a net gain of 300. Throw in a few medical outs and deaths and we are talking about a VERY slow year.
