Watched a CA last week run up and down the jetway stairs hauling strollers. When I say run I mean it. Worst part was it wasn’t due to inactivity of the rampers as they also were brining some up, he just had to show the warrior spirit.

This isn’t the old days anymore.

3% COLA would’ve had us falling WAY behind inflation these last few years. Unacceptable. This is why it’s absolutely critical we get full retro.

It truly amazes me the Battered Wife Syndrome alive and well at Southwest. Management laughs at them, they mock them, they encourage the “warrior spirit” then dilute every single benefit they get yet these pilot keep smiling going the extra mile. It’s the wife that gets hit with an uppercut a few times “Oh he still loves me, he cares. He is just frustrated because it is outside of his control. He will not do it again. It’s my fault” stop deluding yourself.

Just like that lady who finally leaves her abusive husband, sometimes you have to step back and take a small financial hit in the short term to gain long term rewards. Stop Bob from abusing you, he doesn’t love you, he mocks you. Gary likens you to a plumber and yet OT is picked up. [MOD EDIT]

Southwest is the enemy, treat them as such.

Same story. I remember what pilots were paid in the late 90's. No military pension here and **** poor wages for the lost 14 yrs, 2002-2016.

This contract has to pay, if not there are way better paying corp gigs. Take your TFP and divide it by your duty day, that's what you are paid for an hour of your life's time. This airline is far from "gentlemanly".

If I'm offered Deltal rates, then I want all the other accoutrements that are in the delta contract, then I will consider. If not, then pay me more then Delta. If my going without a meal and coming home from a 4 day exhausted saves the company money, then I expect to share in those savings. That's not greedy or unfair. SWA is an animal all alone in comparison.
