A free day off? GMAB. You did work that day, right?

My thoughts exactly. While a late start is nice it is not a day off especially in Denver that takes an hour from parking to gate sometimes after your hour drive in from the neighboring town.

"Day off" is subjective. Did I have to get up early and work all day? No. Did I have miss any meals with the family? No. Was I able to spend every hour of daylight at home doing whatever I wanted? Yes....saved the beer for after landing at midnight.

I got paid 5 tfp to work 1 leg after the kids were asleep....best time spent at work I've had here are those kind of trips. I'd much rather my time at home be maximized than my time in a hotel. For a local....best trips we have.

I park airside...10 min from car to terminal and vice versa. Takes me 45 min to drive home...usually an hour from gate to driveway. 9 pm show and I leave the house at 7:45-8 pm. No traffic at that time of night so I don't have to deal with rush hour like AMers and some PMers do.

As a FO going home I'd usually be in my car leaving the lot within 15 min of block in. Takes a little longer now as a CA on a terminator...but it's way quicker than the train/hotel slog.

In this environment there are no concessions and no compromises. We will get everything we want, large and small, or we’re once again the industry laggards dying from attrition.

My vote is NO.

Dont tell the company about your “subjective” days off LOL.

I don’t count off days if any duty period is in there.

I wanna know how you get your kids to get in bed by 2000? What’s your secret?

Dear lord. I was just saying that when you start work at 2100L, it feels like a day off. Leave it to the APC mafia to come and bludgeon someone with a lead pipe for saying it. I think we all realize it's a work day every time we turn a wheel. Some workdays are better than others.

tell me about it. I do all nighter turns. Leave at 2000 back at 0600 I am gone 10 hours. 10 hours isn’t even half a day, much less 2.
