It means the reps were asked to do some 'unofficial' polling and almost unanimously, no one cared about separate hotels. It's an issue that is almost exclusive to the forum.
My larger issue with hotels is the absolute incompetence of the CHAT desk. 4 times this year we have had delays of two hours+ getting rooms for scheduled flights at our regular hotels. Twice this year, I have put thousands on my CC to get rooms for the crew. Only to be told when waiting for reimbursement, that I really shouldn't have paid for the FAs because they are a separate cost center and its a pita to handle the bookkeeping.

Your CP sounds like a tool, never had an issue expensing rooms. I do expense each room separately. Max time on hold for me is 15 mins, which I spend pre-arranging my own reservation...if we hit 15 mins I confirm the rooms and order a Suburban to transport all the food sherpas.

I would say 75% of the people I have flown with in the past year are FOR leaving the airplane when parking checklist is complete, not waiting for the van, better hotels, etc.
This denial sounds like something that will bite the union in the ass when they float a turd offer.

Keep in mind there's, what, 38% of pilots here who still think the culture is alive and well. I wish that we would split the hotels for lots of extremely valid reasons, but part of the problem with working under what is essentially a representative democracy is that sometimes you're hamstrung by the majority opinion.
Even if their opinion is objectively wrong.

Sounds like a weak excuse.

I felt bad because he'd obviously been invested in other things that they'd worked/struggled on. I get it. But it doesn't change my opinion, experience, nor the impact of the swapa podcast concerning the FA write up extravaganza that still seems to be an issue. (see the HOU rep's latest email)
