Southwest Pilot Undermines Union Efforts
Here's how much a Southwest Airlines pilot makes
Looks like one of your pilots contacted a journalist to get his side of things published.
"I am one of a growing number of Southwest pilots NOT happy with the way our union is acting. This IS about pay, and our average pilot makes $300K a year. Last year, I made $540K! (I have been here 20 years). We are well compensated, and I for one, am a happy pilot and employee of Southwest," he said.

I’d say he’d be easy to out given what he’s disclosed. Time with the company, math to calculate his average trips and if he’s writing quasi-journalists he’s probably vocal on the forums saying the same thing.
If not, he may not be a pilot but an operative, especially given the outlandish number for average pay he cited.
After subtracting NEC and PS it’s about 150-160 tfp a month average that he credited.
