I would've put real money on STL instead of BNA. Guess we will see how that ramp debacle unfolds as we cram 100+ flights a day through it.
you do know a second one will be announced within a year. My bet is MCI

Is it just because the terminal is new? There’s like 8 other cities with more flights/day than MCI.

The company told the local paper it will grow a lot and SWA is committed to making it a hub.

Guess if there’s gate space…..

MCI’s new terminal is finally spurring STL to get off their butt and do something about their POS terminal. Prob one of the worst run airports in the country…..

They kept hoping if they just waited long enough TWA would rise from the dead and establish a global hub there. PIT did the same thing. Gotta feel bad for these cities that used to be big hub operations and were left with a white elephant when the principle carrier abandoned them…. STL, PIT, CLE, MEM, CMH (and to a lesser extent DAY and SYR…)

Yeah that one slipped my mind. Surprising since I was based there for a few years. My bad.

Yeah PIT is always a strange place to fly into. Feels like hundreds of unused gates just sitting there, plus a huge terminal that is essentially a mall with few people.

All the more reasons the airports shouldn't be owned and operated by the government
