Rumor has been there would be two new brick and mortar bases announced. I imagine they'll wait until the DEN spirit party to announce the other. Unfortunately, the Flight Attendants killed the satellite base concept, so a second rumor is that there will also be 4-5 mini bases eventually announced. Congrats, to the BNA commuters!
After claiming to wait until January to meet again with TWU 556, management is now meeting with them virtually in a small group on Wednesday, August 16, under the guidance of their mediators.

As a mil guy, I’m unfamiliar with the process of airlines opening new bases. I know BNA will be super senior, but as a new hire how long would one expect to wait before getting based there? I understand exact numbers can’t be said but are we talking 2-3 years or 5-10 years. If I’m following right, it also depends if they grow the base vs leaving it small.
Am I correct in assuming it would make commuting easier for those living in Nashville but not based there since there will be less commuters? Thanks for the input, interview in a couple weeks and figuring all this stuff out and you could probably guess, but looking to move to the Nashville area.
