SWA training schedule

Don't use this audio as a basis for what to expect on your oral. It's garbage. Your instructors will walk you through how to brief the panels and if you're not ready come pre-oral time, they'll get you additional training instead of sending you to fail during your event with a check pilot.
Limitations
Immediate Action Items
Systems CBTs (mandatory) prior to the oral and if you like reading instead, then use the manuals
There are some good apps out there too. Some are less expensive than others and do just as good a job as helping you understand systems, including schematics that actually move when when repositioning switches to give you an idea of what's happening.

Cringe. There is nothing special about that guy babbling about the overhead. Learn it yourself with Your classmates.

I am in training now about to jump into the simulators. I don't know how training used to be years or months back, but MY advice is DO study ahead of time. They will send you a link to study our systems and learn that thing, also they will send the light and switches guide and that's your bible... learn that thing good. First week is a bunch of presentations, but week 2 is systems and everyone was struggling hard to find time to study all the systems. By the end of week of systems you will have to present the oral and explain each system, what each light means and what each button does. I took an earlier class with no time to study because I read a million times you don't need to study ahead... I passed, but I definitely sweated and wished a million times I had taken the time to study before coming in.
When it comes to the schedule it really is all about luck... my whole program is 6 on, 1 off with one exception that I will have three days off. I don't think training is difficult. Time and stress management is.
