Some enterprising pilot will invent one of these that fits over the yoke and give it a quirky name. (Tried to think of one but I’m not creative… Swatray? Crewtray? Lunchtray? Dang it.)
Theyll sell it on Etsy and make a zillion dollars.

Do NOT bring your vehicle to Dallas unless you want to buy a new tailgate and catalytic converter. If you disregard this and decide to FAAFO, be sure to place cinder blocks at all four corners of your ride when you park for the night. There’s a 10 percent chance they’ll do you a solid and utilize the blocks during the 100 percent forgone conclusion of them jacking your round-rounds.
As far as making the wedding goes, you might get lucky since weddings are usually on Saturday. A far better strategy would be to get your offer from United, American, or Delta the week before the wedding and then tell SWA to go get ****ed.
Welcome aboard.

6 days a week and no promise that your one day is will be a weekend. We did have one 3 day stretch, but most of us were host focused on studying for the oral. I didn't go home (flights into VPS weren't favorable for it anyway). I wanted to bring the family here for the holiday weekend, but it looks like we are working through that. That's all fine, just don't expect to have time off or make plans during or right after the training footprint.
And I recommend some pre-study. Had I known this program is mostly self study, I would have tried to give myself a leg up earlier. Actually, I tried, I just didn't do very good at it (life happens). But I would have pushed harder if I knew what the program was really like. You get 4-5 days of actual instruction before the oral, the rest you learn on your own. You might get lucky and be in the AQP program and just do the test instead of oral. Not sure exactly when that starts.

What would you recommend for pre-study?
I have not yet gotten my hands on the manuals or workbooks

(Note: Thus is just how I would approach initial. Some people here will say that’s overkill. Your mileage may vary depending on how you like to study and how well prepared you like to be.)
