Just accepted a mid-Oct FO class start date. I heard the training is about two months long.
What is like on weekends? Are Sat/Sun typically off unless in sims?
Post sim training timeline ?
Any flexibility maybe for one off events such as family member's wedding?
Thanks much

So if the wedding is two months after you start, you might get lucky.

don't count on it. Training scheduling has a way to find the perfect way to screw you. Want to pick up as soon as possible to make money? You'll be the 2 month ioe wait. You have plans? You'll be the contractual 30 hours after getting home. There's nothing in the contract that dictates ioe being done in seniority order, or even class order (ie you might be scheduled for ioe while somebody from the last class is still waiting).

However…..there is currently a backlog and new hires are waiting for IOE flights.

Don't count on any time off before IOE.
