there’s a SWA GS instructor that retired number one from AA. He’s an extremely nice guy and I’m glad he’s here, but I don’t get it.

Preach brother. You’re not wrong. Those of us that were “acquired” 10+ years ago were appalled at some of the $h!t that went down at SWA but were ridiculed if we ever commented or b!tc7ed about it. Well, I guess the chickens have come home to roost.

Do the math, Einstein. 30 years at UAL could have been a rather rough road if you hit it just wrong, which the OP just might have done.

Lemme guess, you’re too young to know the circumstances of the 2000s and 2010s at UAL.

I did the math on that, and it still checks out. However, I didn’t do the math on potentially a divorce or two , boat, house , spending like the joneses. You never know the situation. The older I get, the more I hear about extreme misuse of income.

I don't disagree with the warning that people should think twice about coming here as an instructor, and the interviewer might not have been very professional if the statements made here are actually accurate, but...

given the tone of arrogance and entitlement of your post, I absolutely hope you, specifically, don't come here. You sound like a nightmare to work with.

Sorry, sounds like the interviewer actually did a good job if he got you to weed yourself out.

Maybe they just want to stay active and had hoped a gig like this would have fit the bill. I had an awesome ex Delta CA as my instructor and was thankfully they were there.

As to the OP, we are a bit rudderless ATM and you won’t get much good will here. People are burned out and tired but I can assure you that 99% are great people and good to fly with.

David is just a young general recruiter in the People Department. He wasn't even speaking to anyone in the Training Department at this point. Perhaps the process at this "****** company" worked, in this case at least.
