Considering a Career with Southwest Airlines?

I don’t see a column for how many times the CEO has said he LUVs his workers. Nor do I see a pickle ball ct count.
seems pretty biased to me.
Just as many pilots leaving the big 3 for SW, just ask management.
What’s TFP again? Turds for pay?

1. No coverage first year from the company—unless at UA, AA, or DL
2. Smallest amount of disability per month at SWA
3. Only get that small amount for half your longevity, minimum of 5 years. At UA, AA or DL theirs lasts until age 65 or retirement.
4. SWA contributes NOTHING to your 401k when out on disability after sick time is exhausted. At UA and AA, it’s still 17%—and Delta actually doubles their NEC contribution to make you whole for what they were putting in before you went out. Yup, that’s going from 16 or 17% to 32 or 34%!
LUV airline my ***! This is why we’re all paying $500 a month in SWAPA STD/LTD, to try to cover some of these gaps. Even so, no NEC $ truly kicks our pilots when they’re hurting. And this isn’t even mentioning loosing our non-rev or medical coverage or loosing life insurance once out on disability.

I want to highlight disability. EVERYONE needs to understand how far behind we are.

That is about as cold blooded as you can get. What do expect from a company that the CEO calls the pilots plumbers and turns everybody in the company against the pilots .

Happens all the time
Don’t forget SWA monthly Life Insurance bill $2,000 per month after you run out to sick trips
Need to pay COBRA $2,500 per month also
While…….losing 1/3 of your pay
And can’t use your own company jump seat and don’t renew company ID
They punish you for being sick
Just cancelled maternity AIP for all female pilots
DESPICABLE

and they stop paying for company life insurance. That's 1000-2500/month you'll now have to pay as well.
