Even Aeroflot takes other currencies.

It was a straight 1:1 pickle balls/TFP, but Carl changed it to 1:1.5. Not sure how that converts to hours, but I trust that it's all going to work out fine since I will get my profit sharing in yo-yos next year.

Good question.
Honest question, can one buy a ticket on us that originated in either Havana, or Cabo, to the U.S. and returns to south of the border? Or are our tickets only sold to flights originating in the U.S.?

No, this would violate ICAO 5th Freedom rights since SWA is based in neither Cuba or Mexico.

They could theoretically operate from say Houston to San Jose, Costa Rica, and then on to Panama City, Panama under the 5th Freedom (picking up additional pax in Costa Rica)…

That might be a varsity level achievement for this rec league airline though.

International thru-flights? Sounds right up this airline's alley.

Which ops agent is getting the big promotion to air traffic controller?

Looking at the Network Planning docs for future departures and overnight AC on SWAlife clearly seems to make a stronger case for BNA over MCI and STL

Significantly more daily departures (more than ATL and almost double LAX), and more overnight AC than either MCI or STL. Hotel costs in BNA have been through the roof this summer as well, just last week I had an unscheduled overnight there and they put me at the Opry resort since all the hotels downtown and by the airport were sold out. If they care about pilot retention and hiring, BNA would help recruitment much more than a Missouri base. Although Blunt being put on the board of directors makes me think a Missouri base may happen anyways regardless of what makes the most sense

That may be tongue-in-cheek, but it’s closer to accurate when you realize. Nashville was unwilling to pay the bill, so it will be Southwest run, and SWA paying for it.
