That used to be the “Shiny new airplanes” syndrome-promise back in the day. I see we’ve evolved.
FWIW during upgrade in June the company folks claimed a new base announcement will occur third quarter this year and another next year.

dang! Kicked a Hornets nest I think.
Base is supposed to be announce in August, I guess we'll see. As far as parking no one knows. Every labor group was told the same thing then poof it's gone. What I've heard is they're trying to find a way to tag it to your SWAG points so they'll have to reinvent a program for that. Maybe after a new VP of parking and a 2 yr parking study, ignoring how anyone else has done it.

Pick the one nobody wants and few live. That will be it. Pilot quality of life is of no benefit to SWA.

This👆 my money is on MCI if they actually do open a new base. But will probably be STL since it’s a craphole where no one wants to live. BNA will never be a base.

It's a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion department that just happens to fly airplanes.
