Continued lying to people doesn’t help make them into responsible adults that can handle a setback here and there.
I think a teenager can handle the truth.

I love that he/she has a goal. Their perspective may change as they go through college/regionals, no need to dash their dreams now.
We have an IT department?

Yes, and you can say “its” to blame.

I have a 16 year old, both his parents are 121 major PIC, and he wants that. I am all about dashing dreams, because it took us over 20 years to get to what he sees now.

It’s no longer a fun atmosphere unless you work in DAL and go to all the koolaid parties and convince yourself that’s what airline life really is.

You can have exactly the same flying experience at any major airline with the added option of being able to make a change if what you’re doing gets old.

HQ is a fun job. Deck parties, Pickleball , lots of food choices in the cafeteria. All the holidays off, get to hide during any issues or meltdown. The problem is the damn pilots, this company would be a lot better if it just got rid of the pilots.

Just flew with a guy whose wife works at HQ. He had a lot of stories about how much they dislike us over there. Yikes! ☹️

Ooooooooo. It sure would be nice if you’d dish some details! That would probably benefit our group very much to know what we’re dealing with.

I don’t think that’s in my best interest. You can probably guess most of what they think though.
