You know the company that you work for hates pilots, when you have top officials telling everyone to write up pilots. Then after a contentious ordeal the company fires a pilot and BRAGS how it was a CLEAN KILL. .
The truth is more bazaar than fiction at this place . GK really did more to this company in 15 years ( not in a good way ) than the founders did in 40 .
I could not even count how many times I have seen 1 or 2 FAs get off the plane right after we land ( all pax still onboard) to get their commute home . I have never once thought about writing them up . That is just one of many examples I have seen them do that would get them fired.
We really do need separate hotels.

Things got heated and I’m sure most of us would have pushed an aggressor away from us just like our pilot did. Unfortunately, that physical contact was caught on camera and was what was used to get him fired.
The other FAs that were sitting with our pilot were even appalled at their coworker’s aggressive behavior. I guess the moral of the story is to disengage and make absolutely sure not to make ANY physical contact with a coworker.
Ironically, some still cling to the idea that we don’t need separate hotels. Nonsense….

Mostly agreed. Regarding the “clean kill”, I had an extensive conversation with a domicile rep that had seen the footage of the SJO incident in question. There’s no doubt that the FA was aggressive and completely out of line but the mistake the pilot made was pushing the FA (a male) when that FA got right in the pilot’s face.

I 100 percent agree with you My problem is flight ops already took care of the issue and decided the appropriate discipline , even agreed from our VP. Then due to the company hate for pilots and loving to kiss inflights ass , they completely changed course and demanded he gets fired Our pathetic VP did not stand up to his word. As much as some did not like CM, Chuck fell on his sword to protect his word that he made to a pilot .
It is what it is , I cannot change that. I do want separate hotels .
