I think they can do FA training in a much shorter timeline if needed. It is fairly easy to have a class of 1000 . The FAs need a wake-up that they bring no skills to the table. They seem to put themselves inline with the pilots
I hope SWAPA does not lift a finger to back them. They have been on a mission for years to write pilots any chance they get . These marching orders comes from the top of the FA union.

with all due respect, you’re an ass flight attendants have skills that pilots don’t have just like pilots have skills flight attendants don’t have, but that doesn’t make their need their skills, their abilities any less important than ours, when a passenger loses consciousness in the back, or has a medical issue or we need to evacuate an aircraft it’s not us in the flight deck that is going to do that that is our cabin crewmembers. They are our colleagues. They are our brothers and sisters show some damn respect, yes they shouldn’t get paid the amount pilots get but they’re training is extremely difficult and unless you’ve ever been through their training, shut your mouth they matter instead of going against them. Why don’t you support them on getting a better contract and intern they can support the pilots on getting a better contract, but your old school negative attitude towards our cabin. Crew, brothers and sisters is disgusting and you should take a real good look in the mirror and change your perspective.

We are not on the same team Karen . Teammates do not stab their brother and sisters in the back. Newsflash, most of us do not want to be at the same hotel as the FAs
By the way, did the pilot that you got fired get his job back. That guy has a wife and kids .
I been called worse by better 😂. You are one angry FA

If they stay unified they most certainly do have leverage. We have 20K flight attendants, can the company replace all 20K in 6 weeks? I think not. Now the company probably doesn't need to get a new FA CBA to attract FA, but if the FA's continue down the RLA pathway and hold the line, they will have leverage if they get released. We should stop bashing them for being unified and wish them well in getting everything that they can negotiate.

Tech Ops approved a new contract after, what, a week of negotiations? I know their prior agreement was under negotiations for the better part of a decade and they made industry-SHIFTING strides to the point where four additional mechanics groups came on board with AMFA within a year of SWA mechanics ratifying a new deal. But if they're happy enough to vote in a contract so quickly, I'm happy for them too. I hope every work group hits home runs. Pilots, FA's, rampers (who recently voted down their first TA as well). Everybody.

I hope they get a better contract, but that’s their business and we have ours.

The behavior and attitude that many had toward pilots, and the default was we were in the wrong, soured me and I want nothing to do with them outside of the professional arena.

SWA does not need to hire 20k FAs . The FAs will fold once the company starts playing the offense. The ones in charge of the FA union are hell-bent on destroying the pilots, not gaining a better contract for the FAs .
I do wish them the best and hope they get what they want. I just am not willing to let them ride on our backs .

I'm not going to bash/belittle another unionized labor group for standing up for what they believe they are worth. I keep my interactions with them professional and move on about my business.
