Unfortuantely, other than the money not much changed in the TA from the AIP. My sister shared it with me and I told her it was laden with concessions.

TWU 556 members showed up.

Late announcement to keep the stock from dropping.

I care WAY more about our MX union contracts than the FA contracts… our wrench benders are WAY more skilled and hard to replace than the cabin staff…. It’s very ironic to me that we are more concerned about the FA’s than the actual trained professionals that maintain our fleet.

they have no leverage.. and can be replaced in 6 weeks. They clearly think way higher of themselves than the market or reality does. They’ve already been iced by the nmb and will have no sympathy if the company just goes silent.

Only reason that is is because some tie the timing of their agreement with ours. But I'd guess they are fully de-coupled at this point.

That and a few may be sharing a bed with an FA...more so than with a mechanic.

Tech Ops approved a new contract after, what, a week of negotiations? I know their prior agreement was under negotiations for the better part of a decade and they made industry-SHIFTING strides to the point where four additional mechanics groups came on board with AMFA within a year of SWA mechanics ratifying a new deal. But if they're happy enough to vote in a contract so quickly, I'm happy for them too. I hope every work group hits home runs. Pilots, FA's, rampers (who recently voted down their first TA as well). Everybody.

I think they can do FA training in a much shorter timeline if needed. It is fairly easy to have a class of 1000 . The FAs need a wake-up that they bring no skills to the table. They seem to put themselves inline with the pilots

I hope SWAPA does not lift a finger to back them. They have been on a mission for years to write pilots any chance they get . These marching orders comes from the top of the FA union.

Completely agreed. Everyone wants to be rich, but nobody wants to put in the work. If FA’s want big bucks, flight schools are always accepting new students.

Why would that even be a thought? It’s certainly not the reason that I’m paying increased dues. That would be truly crazy and I’m not expecting it to happen.

Let's not forget that SWAPA cut off all cooperation with TWU 556 and their current leadership several years ago. The fact that they haven't voted out or recalled their leadership tells me all I need to know.

Their negotiations are their business... not ours.
