MAX 7 Idle?
Hey again everyone. So question about the MAX 7. I haven’t been following the news too closely on it, but it’s apparently still going through some certification processes. In the meantime, Southwest appears to have some on order ready to go. They’re out of the paint shop so that much I know is done. But one of the airplanes I looked up that has a Southwest paint job, N7207Z, a nearly 3.5 year old MAX 7, hasn’t been flying at all. Is this to save on airframe cycles prior to delivery? If so how do they keep these airplanes in flying condition, when they aren’t flying? I would assume they run the engines every so often, reposition it to prevent flat spots on the tires, etc. What all does that entail in keeping these stored airplanes in condition where they’re ready for revenue service when the time comes?
Thanks!
Thanks!
