For me it varies, which is why I really wish we had a "Fly/Pass JA" option we could set as desired. Nothing planned and I was planning to pick something up anyway? Sign me up, I'll get more money for it. Got something planned at home? Then leave me alone on my day off. Let me choose. Or add "no JA" days like GDOs, and let me place as many as I want every month.
Spirit makes a ton of money without JAs and with allowing trip drops to the company. We can too.

We can, and I have. Most recently, I was so tired I accidentally answered my phone while waiting for the parking shuttle. It was scheduling, and they wanted me back in 10 hours. I said something to the effect of, "I'm not even sure I can safely drive home after the day I just had, but I know for sure I can't drive an airplane tomorrow." Trip was gone quickly.

You should never have to call in fatigued for what is on your schedule. Fatigue should be for when your schedule changes due to unforeseen circumstances.
Or when the fire alarm goes off, or when your kid was sick the night before you went to work aso.
But if your schedule makes you fatigued, the schedule is the problem....
