Default Converting VAC to FV

Who do we contact to convert a vacation week to a floating vacation and ask to be paid out?

Thanks for the help.

Exactly. I never understood the FV “thing” and why you’d accept 26.25 TFP for a week of vacation when you can have 40-50 TFP for it.

Can someone please explain the rational behind using FV? I’m genuinely curious.

Just curious, does the company pay out your vacation if you're resigning to go elsewhere?

Great question! 🥃

I doubt anyone would want $0 instead of the 26.25 TFP.

FV is great if you need cash now and aren't going to be bidding for pay purposes later. Convert it and cash it out. I did it during Covid since we weren't getting more than book value for the vacation weeks anyway and you could drop all the flying you wanted to.
FV sucks if you are bidding a line for pay or need time off during normal times.

If you plan on quitting, absolutely convert any vacation days you have to FV and cash it out.

Thanks. Anyone have a quick contact number handy for crew planning? In my scenario I would need it paid out so as not to waste its value. 🥸

I’m back on rsv so every VA week is worth 26.25. Floater just lets you swap a crap week for a potentially good one. If it pays the same…why the hell not? There are limits on QOL drops, etc you gotta watch out for though….
