Totally unsat. Kind of like the MDW assistant CP that’s negotiating against us right now and staying on our seniority list.

If that isn’t the definition of irony I don’t know what is.

What wack said

This Asst CP is also a night time flyer, picking up POT. I find it hard to believe the company does not see his true colors.

How has this been allowed to continue? Surprised they can even walk through the airport

It happened last negotiation with a HOU chief pilot. It shouldn't be allowed.

I am all for chiefs staying on the list, but they shouldn't be on the company's negotiating team.

I agree. It should not be allowed. And if you are a pilot on the SWAPA list negotiating against us, you are a traitor. I’ll be looking for my strike tag tomorrow.

the strike tag isn’t subtle…. If we are asked by the public about it, does anyone suggest a professional answer??? I was asked already and kinda froze hahahaha….. our pax don’t need crazy detail just a simple answer…. I’m seriously asking

Good Question. I have fielded a few questions from family/friends, but none in uniform yet.

"After more than 3 years of disrespectful treatment at the negotiating table, and the embarrassing treatment of our passengers and fellow teammates, we have lost faith in our senior leaders. A strike will cost money and a cursory search of swa on any contemporary business website will show you that VP bonuses and money are all they care about."

"Regardless of what you may read in swa advertising, the senior leaders really do NOT care about anything beyond their bonus money, big money investors and stock prices. Strikes cost money; and I guess this is all that's left after 3+ years of stalling on the company's part."

Good? Too derisive?

I should just carry multiple copies of the "12 Billion Dollar" article written by the DEN SWAPA Rep, and hand them out to anyone curious enough to read it.

I’d like to think that I can give some good advice regarding this as I’ve been down this path before up to and including a strike.

What question did the general public ask you? We need to start from there.

"I am not permitted to speak to that. Please contact the airline regarding any concerns you have about future travel in the event of a strike"

Bottom line they need to call the company - hopefully in large numbers - and make noise (or cancel, or book away) for those things to move the needle. I figure that's the answer least likely to get me fired while achieving that goal.

Perfect!

Put the onus of explaining it back on the company.
