For all those commenting that aren't SWA...I don't think the issue is the walk around itself. The issue is that it's on top of our multiple scheduled/unscheduled aircraft swaps and attempt at short ground time between legs (35-45 minutes) while not providing crew meals...so it's just 1 more time consuming task during an already compressed event. Good thing pilots control the parking brake...we'll go when we're ready and not let the schedule dictate our actions.

Guess you are just the gem of the airline world. Have you not been paying attention to why we are ****ed? We are in section 6 and the place decided to add more workload... yeah ..

3 minute walk-around? Pffft. Not if you’re doing it right. And all SW pilots should be “doing it right”.

ok now do those walk arounds at opposing ends of the new terminal in Denver while getting some food in between. Again, we control the parking brake.

In a past life, PIC was able to delegate preflight but was required to do post flight. This was intended to have two sets of eyes on the aircraft every flight. Different people see different things. If I miss it on a preflight I’ll probably miss it on a post flight. Ultimately the PIC is responsible for accepting the aircraft and returning it in an airworthy condition. Discuss….
