Post flight/terminating inspections, that ball's in the company court, they can weigh cost vs. benefit and who does it.

How about dong a cabin walk while flying ? You can never to be safe , you would have found your crack that you’re so proud.

Yes, 99% of things are good. But finding that 1% will save a lot of heart ache, grief, and potential accidents.

Its the negotiations playbook.
They say it brings us up to aviation standard. What about the other aviation standards where we stand alone; like PF says landing gear up, setting zeros, VNAV off the ground and a whole myriad of procedures and processes where we are the only ones who do it that way.
Again, they found something to add to our workload while we’re in negotiations, simply the playbook.

One evening my dad heard the squeal of brakes and horn. Than a thud. They took him to the hospital. He was dead on arrival.
True story.

Reminds me of the old man who walked out of church board meetings in the evening. My dad was on the board with him. Crossed a busy 4 lane street. Never looked both ways. Had not been killed yet.

I do have to side with pretty much everyone else here. I don’t know of any other airline where the pilots don’t do a preflight before each leg. Just another Southwestism I suppose.
