Off the top of my head, very few downtown hotels. Seems like Doubletrees, often near busy roads or highways (AUS) are popular along with airport Marriotts (MCI, TPA, MSP, ATL, CVG). Quality of Doubletrees is often not so great while Marriotts tend to be nicer than Doubletrees, though not always, and that’s not really saying much anyway. Some Marriotts are pretty decent while I can’t think of any Doubletrees that are.

We do stay in the dumpy Hyatt Place style hotels in some cities like the AUS airport hotel (which abuts a busy frontage road next to a busy freeway) and in MCO.

Nice hotels I can think of are the Westin airport hotel in DEN, the Grand America in SLC, the Pepper Mill in RNO, and the downtown hotel in CLE I stayed at once before covid.

We don’t have specific long/short hotel language. I’ve been at said AUS airport dump for 20 hours and then gone downtown for very short nights. A few places are decent hotels that are in isolated corporation parks, like RDU.

Hotels are generally Doubletree and Bonvoy brand like Marriott and Sheraton. Some Hiltons and similar. Some really nice like embassy suites.

Theres a couple Sonesta, formerly Crowne Plaza and the ever popular Elegante.

IT was funny coming here from a ULCC like NK because I thought surely we would have better hotels...I was WAY wrong. NK stayed at some really nice places in great locations, not sure why we can't up our game and move to a higher tier. I am sure this is all of the mentality from days gone by that we were only there 11 hours so get me something close and a bed, but those days are changing and people want to do stuff on their overnights.

Is the union bargaining hard for better hotels? If they're not then it's time they do.

As far as I know, they already admitted OTOF (don’t have time right now to go back and confirm) that, at a minimum, they’re not demanding separate hotels from the FA’s.

They have also not clarified what they mean by “industry-leading” pay. Does that mean industry-leading rates? Does that mean industry-leading NB rates? Does that means industry leading NB career compensation? Does that mean industry-leading career compensation? There are substantial differences that we will feel in our pocketbooks depending on which of those definitions of industry-leading pay SWAPA is demanding to achieve.

I’m biased though, came from 135 flying where I got a 250/night room allowance to pick my own hotel. If you’re coming from a regional you’ll probably think the hotels are decent.
One month into life on the line and you’re *****ing already. I like it! Can’t wait to fly together. We’re gonna be just like these guys at the 6:30 mark.

Have a 16 hour overnight, Crowne Plaza at the airport.

Long/short hotels is one of my contract no-goes.

Pretty sure that was a Covid deal. Just like the nice hotel in MIA.
