Sadly Lewbronski has taken a leave of absence from us here. Last heard he has either won the lottery and quit or is being held hostage by SWAPA, possibly both. Regardless its been awhile since they have made any posts.

Money is not everything, WN has culture. What out place can you go work at that the CEO has turned every employee that he can against the pilots. What other airline does the CEO reference the pilots as plumbers?

When a pilot is fired they reference it as A CLEAN KILL……

Let’s also not forget. QUALITY OF LIFE FOR THE PILOTS IS OF LITTLE VALUE TO THE COMPANY

Yeah, but we can work "a little extra" every month to make up for it.

If it’s so much better at UA/DL why haven’t way more than 250 left? Most of those are under 1yr on property. You’d think all the SR FO and Jr CA would be jumping ship too!

If I was 10 yrs younger I’d have left for UAL. As a mid-40’s CA the economics aren’t there. They’ve hired so many young people you’ll likely never see WB CA with a good schedule. Best you can hope for is 757 CA or WB FO.

I’ll retire here top 100….I’m not going anywhere.

Same. If I were 40 or younger, I’d have one foot out the door. But I’m past V1 with a lot of mistakes made earlier in my career chasing greener grass. I’m stuck here now for better or for worse. And I won’t break the top thousand when I retire.

That's why we don't accept anything short of full retro. As one of the candidates wrote, make them still be feeling this retro check when we start negotiating our next contract.

Wasn't one of your "things I wish I had done differently" NOT leaving your original place of hire?

yes. Took a while but I learned my lesson. That doesn’t put a stop to the FOMO though. 😉

27+ pilots per month leaving a major airline isn't a big deal?

Many folks don't realize that a decades long career at SW is not even close to equalling that at a legacy in every measurable way.

I am constantly amazed by some of the questions newer (and not so) new folks ask about stuff that we don't have.

Their reactions often remind me of Betty Grissom's in The Right Stuff, after "the hatch just blew".

"No industry standard pay rates? No parking? No Uniforms?, No double time?, No long call?"

No, but at least we can work extra to make up for that stuff!
