Its been a bad year for sure and we need this contract done with a strong yes on the SAV, but to think F9 management or any airline management is much better is ridiculous at best.

Frontier is certainly in the same league as Southwest now their top rate is only 5% less than ours and finally pay for hotels in new hire training.

Let's get the pay numbers right, F9 first year is more around $137k with their bonus and current rates. I assume SWAPA would NEVER allow for a "hiring bonus" so no chance of getting one here.

Your pay will go down slightly year 2 however, but you'll advance quickly since F9 attrition is about 15x higher than Southwest attrition.

Frontier did close a major base recently, but I'm sure that will never happen again. [/sarcasm]

lots of "pay talk" on this thread. Original poster: Remember to consider QOL issues, morale, etc etc also.

And there’s stipulations on their “Bonus”. You have to pay it back if you don’t stay.

It’s up to $50k now. If you leave within 3 years you pay it back plus interest. It’s basically a forgivable loan.

Going up so fast I can't keep track. Certainly not a red flag...

Southwest Airlines First Year FO Pay: $6,667 mo / $80,013 yr

Vs.

Frontier Airlines First Year FO Pay: $7,500 mo / $90,000 yr +$50,000 bonus = $140,000

Problem with a bonus that’s not in the CBA is mgt can do whatever they want and you have no say. One class might get it and they decide to do away with it before your class, etc.

Or tell you it’s $50k and then pay you $20k. Or tell you it’s a bonus and then send you a certified letter demanding it back if you quit.
