Default FedEx pilot union approves SAV

FedEx pilot union inches closer to strike with unanimous approval for authorization vote

FedEx's existing pilot contract, for the most part, is something that most SWAPA pilots would describe as an utter fantasy for us to ever hope to achieve. Read through this thread, and particularly this post, to get a feel for what I'm talking about. And the FedEx union just authorized a SAV.

Just to be clear: this is authorization for a SAV. Same as what SWAPA is doing right now.

Good. 100 Percent yes. I don't understand how people can be against these.

I think chief pilots, who are still members of the union, throw the no votes. I also can't imagine any regular line swine voting no.

I think CPs should be on non-active status, and not be allowed to vote while in a management position.

I think CP should have to do multi day trips during IROPS into crappy weather while dealing with MX, ****ed off people and ornery agents. Not the little 30 minute, VFR style out and back for currency.

Well I heard some at WN they do, at JA rates, on top of the green bar. But that is obviously not what you meant, and you are right.

Yeah, at some point you need to make a choice. Are they Chief (management) or Pilot (SWAPA). Can't be both.
