I think the middle mgt has their heads so far up their asses that they’re refusing to accept reality, and are telling their superiors whatever it is they think they need to hear.

I hear similar words at some other airlines (not all).

Yeah? So? Does that make it not true in the case of SWA?

Multiple airlines’ pilots have this opinion of their management. Indeed, several of them have said their’s is the worst in the industry. Yes, they say they are worse than SWA. Hmmmm…

Yes indeed. Just read all the other airline threads here on APC. Every pilot group thinks their management is the worst, and every pilot group claims their negotiating committee and union are the weakest. All the while believing that the other airline with "best" contract has it because their management respects the pilots and wants them to have the best pay a QOL.

Colonels have the experience to see and know better than most. Some Colonels have never actually achieved O-6 though.

I never claimed ours is the worst management in general. It’s just appalling how bad they’ve gotten lately.

I will say that they have to be the worst as far as tech and archaic operational systems and processes simple because I can’t imagine a company that’s so inept and set in their ways.

Worse still, is their arrogance about it all. Something that I’ve been witness to for the past decade.

Sad that at SWA we are in the class of who is the worst. There was a time, when we would be saying we had the best. This pretty much says it all for the health of this place .

lol agreed on all of this, however I can assure you our tech, at least in terms of scheduling for ourselves is not the worst. I had 12 different logins at my last gig lol, everything you did required a different login. Day one they handed you an 8x11 sheet of paper with all of the different logins, websites, apps and codes you needed. The AA regional was basically DOS commands when you had to make any hotel requests or schedule changes. I think the entire industry is decades behind in technology but none of them are brave enough to go all in on something new.
