Oh please oh please. Can someone post a link to it? I’m not in a position to watch it.

How about Casey’s testimony? Please keep us posted on the play by play. I hope he doesn’t hold back.

As one senator pointed out - Herb would have attended.

Casey's opening statement was strong. They've given him several opportunities to outline (briefly) specific recommendations that might have helped but the company ignored, but so far he hasn't done that. (It may have been in his written testimony though). The committee is clearly irritated that BoJo didn't show up. They've mentioned it SEVERAL times including stating they could have made him show up if they wanted to. Watterson is well spoken and contrite. Has admitted fault several times but stopped short of saying that they'll replace the scheduling system with anything more modern. He says a patch goes into the solver today, and IF the external review determines the need to replace the crew scheduling system, they'll put out an RFP and involve the unions at that point.

There's a lot of grandstanding by the senators and silly platitudes thanking aviation workers, but I would love it if they would press Casey for specific solutions and then ask Watterson why the company CANT do those things.

There's time wasted litigating the change of the NOTAM acronym and whether privatizing ATC (Canada model) would help. I personally don't think this hearing is as good a place to hash that stuff out as FAA reauthorization would be, but politicians gonna politician.

they're in recess right now for a vote. Hopefully they'll be back soon.

Working so haven’t been able to watch it. Casey may be wicked smart, I have no idea. I do know he is not an eloquent or persuasive speaker.

Casey has to play “politician” a bit. He can’t just go all out, grandstand, and risk tuning out the Senators. We have to get good, even-keel coverage out of the media on this as well. We have to appear as one of the grownups in the room.
