He’s not wrong. If we did not have our ever-dwindling war chest built on our previous success, we would be a carrier in serious trouble. I’m no chicken-little…but only because of our cash. A fool and his money are soon parted.

True that SWA runs on thinner margins and preemptively cancels to avoid last minute disruptions. But, SWA doesn’t have regionals to sacrifice. Every time there is a slot limitation at Denver, United will cancel SkyWest/GoJet, etc. in order to preserve larger airplanes at mainline. A lot cheaper to cancel a 50 seat RJ than 777.
