I’m firmly for revisiting the previous surveys and handing the company the full proposal.
AGREE 100% but if you ask your rep about it they will tell you the tide hasn’t changed in the last 6-8 years. 🙄. We will be offered a sub par contract and it will be up to us to stand firm and vote it down.

I am FAR from being anywhere close to being accused of being a left winger. Quite the opposite, more 'right/libertarian'.
HOWEVER, this is absolute B-S!!!! Can they display their disconnect any better?
FFS, Women fly planes too! It has been happening for quite some time now. Why is this even a question?!
In this day in age, what slimy D-B would un-AIP Maternity Leave?!! What low life savage would miss the opportunity to immediately implement an immediate policy change to the HungerGame HQ's 1970's maternity leave policy?

Answer: Benedict Karl and his overlords... Nuff said.

And just like that, SWA left in the dust:

“With a lagging CBA and no real hope of improvement this year and possibly next, I completely understand why record numbers of our FOs are actively seeking employment at our peers. If I were a Pilot with five years or less at this airline, I would be actively seeking employment at another carrier that has a contract that respects me and my family.” SWAPA President Casey Murray

Just a reminder:

Delta just got a substantial new contract. And the company still reported record profit:
https://apnews.com/article/delta-air...bdb2c4f0b2cf19

United just offered a solid AIP, and just reported record profit.
https://www.cnbc.com/2023/07/19/unit...-earnings.html

Our Q2 earnings report is coming up on the 27th. Per Marketbeat “Earnings for Southwest Airlines are expected to grow by 48.48% in the coming year”
https://www.marketbeat.com/stocks/NYSE/LUV/earnings/

The company is going BACKWARDS in what they’re offering us, and telling us ‘pilot quality of life is unimportant’

I don’t know about you, but I find this offensive.

I’m a no without full retro, SUBSTANTIAL quality of life improvements, and a raise of less than 45%. Call it 737 rates or wide body rates, I don’t care.

45%.

45% is less than Southwest earnings are expected to grow.

Just needed an outlet for my frustration in waiting 1000 days for a contract.. Hope you’re there with me. Thanks for reading.

Honestly it is probably more geared to the Dads in our ranks than the Moms. They took a bet that the few women we have flying here, a sad statistic in its own right, wouldn't make a big enough stink but by pulling back the AIP it screws all the Dads from the bounding time and the like.
