I just read the letter and SWAPA’s comments.

Fantastic!

As we approach (within the next few days) our early opener here at Frontier, I hope our negotiating committee takes note of SWAPA’s response.

Kudos and best of luck for some actual progress in the near future!

I have said it before our hotel language needs to be a big win in this next contract. Our offerings are pathetic compared to our peers.

what do you not like about the grove in BOI or the element in BZN? To me those are great in both location and hotel.
did the ALB downtown go away? Been a while since I've been there.
CLE IND downtown are good.
I definitely agree hotels need to be way better but that ship has sailed since that section has been AIPd and the rep I've talked to defended it to death that they would not reopen it and its over.
I'm pretty disappointed that the NC is not going to reopen it since hotels have become a major issue in the last few yrs.

Yeah my rep defended it as well as if I was calling his daughter ugly or something. In their defense though they did at least speak to me and assured me I would be pleasantly surprised about the hotel section.

I will give them the benefit of the doubt for now.

Here is a FU C.K.Ed up reason not to work for SWA!

Today is my last day at SWA. My fini flight was last Saturday, PHX-DAL. No water cannons to honor the flight in PHX so I elected DAL as the destination. A superb job by the DAL ground ops and Culture Committee welcoming our arrival!
As the contract negotiations continue to stall, I feel compelled to post one last thought. The Company is all about LUV, spreading the Golden Rule, living the SW way, unless it costs them money. This is painfully evident since we’re contemplating drastic measures now in the contract process. I came to this conclusion years ago, after losing my only son. Flight Ops was very accommodating with respect to giving me time off and offering help throughout the early grieving process. I was grateful for their assistance. The shock of my life came several weeks later when I received a 3-way call from HQ, telling me they would be unable to pay the child life insurance policy claim I made. Some technicality with his student status when he passed. They stated General Insurance made the decision, not SWA. I thanked them for the call and said I would be hiring an attorney to consult with General Insurance.
My attorney confirmed the claim was valid and offered to intervene if necessary. A few days later, before any contact with the Company took place, a certified check arrived paying the claim in full.
My point is this. I believe SWA knew the claim was valid and intentionally balked at paying, hoping I would accept their decision. During the worst time of my life, they chose trying to save a few bucks, over LUV.

I had a similarly horrific experience during the worst time of my life. Can’t get into details since I’m still here.

After a couple horrible trips full of delays, reroute and more of the same thought I couldn’t be more disgusted with this place. Then reading this they go ahead and totally outdo themselves again.

Another reason not to work for Southwest:

SWAPA & the company still have a lot distance before they come to an agreement on our sickleave system and disability. If the information about our company medical coverage is correct, I find it ironic that they will pay for a sex change, but don’t want to help take care of normal productive employees when they’re disabled!
