Allegiant sounds pretty bad right now. Shuttled to any of the Florida bases, "TDY" multiple times, horrible pay, work rules are garbage. I've heard too many horror stories over there. Here at least had been a mix. Some of you are pretty negative, others Luke warm and some seem pretty happy.

Apparently, many folks think that a career at SWA is comparable/interchangeable with that of a legacy.
It, simply put, isn't, and has never been, which is why I posted what I did.
If you're good with working more for less than your contemporaries at legacies over the span of your career, you're in the right place. Those that aren't should, IMHO, look elsewhere.
Since you brought it up, I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that a career at SW is much closer to that of one at Allegiant, than it is to one at a legacy.
I am pretty close to the top of the food chain at SW, seniority wise, and my QOL, pay and 401K balance pale in comparison to those of my friends who have been at legacies the same amount of time I've been here and less.

I guess if your one and only priority in life is money then your only hope is to chase widebodies or quite frankly, go do something else. Does anyone on here have a family, kids, etc? I thought about AA myself, but came to the conclusion pretty quickly that their QOL wasn’t all that different from the regionals in terms of days off, vacation, etc. Yea, the money component was there and retirement, but who cares if you never have any time with your family. I’ve yet to see any evidence that NB QOL is better elsewhere. WB would be nice only if you lived in base or were senior enough to bid WB reserve long call. Is it worth the wait to get there if it means missing out on your kids growing up? For some sure, but not for me.
This contract is really ****ing me off, but there seems to be a lot of posting on here that’s purely emotional. And it’s usually the same half a dozen guys - no offense. It’s just my observation. Every one I’ve flown with has had no regrets on their career decision, despite everyone being rightfully ****ed off about this ridiculously drawn out contract.

Can you explain this more? For some reason there is a large disconnect between what’s said on the forums and the guys I fly with on the line. Pay…ok…yea I guess if you are looking at only WBs. Quality of life? Vacation?
