Sometimes.

In my experience, most of the time it's a lot more work for a few extra TFP.

I was rerouted in the middle of my last trip a few days ago, into a short layover, with an extra 6 hours or so of duty, ending with a 12 hour day, and it paid an extra 3 tfp. That is pretty typical of almost every one I've gotten in the last 3 years.

Oh, and they deadheaded 2 Capts, 4 legs (total) to fly my 3 revenue legs.

ANY reroute, including those on premium awards, should pay double rigs, at least.

Sounds fatiguing! 3 TFP isn't worth my health!

Good point. Probably why they don’t make any effort at all to code things properly in terms of pay when the reroute is assigned and you have to wait several days until the pay audit is completed. They wouldn’t want you to be able to clearly see ahead of time just how not remunerative the changes are. Then like my last trip, when the audit is “complete”,they still underpaid me by five trips and I had to get the union involved. Very fatiguing indeed. Nice new tool on the website to help calculate correct credit though.

That tool is fantastic. All credit to whoever programmed that for SWAPA; it's amazing. I'd love a version 2.0 that could scan all the schedule research data at regular interviews, and automatically notify a pilot of an incorrect audit. But there are so many of them, we'd probably have to upgrade the processing power...

I believe they do automatically run every trip through except reserve. The union has offered to give the program to the company and the company refused. I guess 9 people manually doing audit for 10k pilots and 23k FAs seems more reasonable

CA guarantee is less than I was making as a FO….granted I was busting for it vs sitting around doing nothing. I’m just ready to have training scheduling out of my life….they’re absolutely worthless.

I’ve been preaching this for years. I don’t understand why people get so upset with it.
