How tolerant!
Sounds like Nazi Germany of yesteryear or the current Putin regime. It’s disgusting what American “free” society has become.

It sure is, when thinking something different automatically involves calling him/her/X “nazi”.

I see you’re mentally preparing for your upcoming interview with United. When they ask “why United” make sure you emphasize their ability to “lead the way” like firing every employee who refused to get the vaccine no matter the circumstances, brag about it on multiple major news networks, then after the liberals decided the gig was up, they started to hire non vaccinated employees again.

I am still driving my 2004 that I bought in the military. I hate buying cars. I am the only captain I know with my first wife, a paid off car, one house, and no toys (yet, that Miata is tempting).
Nice to meet another intelligent pilot. One wife, no debt(I could write a check today and pay off the house, but a refi at <2.9 let's me pay cash for a 2 car, rv, shop, garage.) Also to be used as the bunker when the revolution from the Great Reset begins. I do have toys, but they're all paid for. i.e. things to drive and things that go bang.

p.s. Miata...ya only live once. Take a walk on the wild side, do it. You're FO's will be soooo jealous when you show them all the pics.

The fact that you didn’t stop at “him/her” and had to include “X” says a lot about you. I’ll be in my corner of APC. Buh bye.

Man it’s amazing the fact that you think about that United interview more than I do, freaking amazing. I canceled that interview, you can let it go now, it’s gonna be OK.

You assuming that says a lot about you as well. Don’t forget the popcorn when you go to that corner.

We have a bad habit at SW of focusing on the pay rates at the exclusion of all else. For a 50 year old company, our CBA is woefully immature. There are a ton of industry lagging areas from parking to crew meals to hotel language and reserve rules.

Other airlines are negotiating not just for pay, but to improve work life balance. I hope we do the same.

Time is the new money.

This is me exactly. Time is my currency that I value more than anything else. My goal here is to spend as little time as possible making the most money possible, to pay myself what I will need for later, and then to spend the remainder as quickly as possible on fun experiences with the people that I love. One of the biggest gifts my father gave me was expressing regret right before he died that he spent more time worrying about the money he now couldn't spend and less time enjoying it.
