Just to let you know that your “kind” is very much appreciated and respected. We truly do have some fantastic FAs. As you are well aware, we also have too large a percentage that are not the same as you.
Apologies as well for some of the derogatory remarks on here towards your work group as a whole.

I usually fly B or D... so a lot of times I do not interact with the pilots... but whem I have the chance.... at the end of the duty day... I always make sure to thank the men and women up front for taking care of us and getting us to our destination safely.
So, if you ever hear "Hey y'all, thanks for getting us here safely..." that may just be me.

1221 Never Forget. This is the 3rd anniversary of the 1221 WARN notices set out to the bottom 1221 SWA pilots on December 3rd 2020 in an attempt to get the pilot group to take a 10% pay cut. 3 months later the C-Suite Executives awarded themselves $26.9 million in Stock awards.

SWAPA Comm today:
1221
December 3rd, 2020 is a date that Southwest Pilots will remember, and those who came after will hear about for a very long time.
If you weren’t here, 1221 of our Pilots received WARN notices on that day, just weeks ahead of Christmas. The act of sending those notices changed the relationship between Gary Kelly, his management team, and the Pilots of Southwest forever.
Why do we memorialize that event?
Because it was a lesson bearing repeating. It called for us to finally stop with the “culture” nonsense and wake up to the cold fact that it’s all business.
Gone are the days of using words like “may, should, at the discretion of, and meet and discuss.” The hope and handshake days are over.
When we look at the most important work we do at SWAPA - Negotiating and Defending our contract - that can never again be based on an empty promise or the ghost of culture past. 1221 taught that lesson.
It will be approached by SWAPA as business. It should be approached by our membership in the same way.
Where we stand today, working to finalize a long overdue contract, it serves us to heed the lessons of the past. It’s all business, and we will behave accordingly.
Hold fast.

You guys are crying over spilled milk. Did anyone get furlouged? Whats going to happen if the the economy goes bust, or we have another terror attack similar to 9/11. You guys are all emotional about a letter. WOW! I would be more concerned that the company was falling marching orders from the US goverement and was willing to fire over the half the pilots if they did not get the prick and were was the union on that? Oh, they were Pro Choice they claim. That is a big laugh.
