1,221 Reasons Not to work for Southwest

Yep. Whenever I hear about "downtown" hotels I cringe. It's just not for me and I would rather do 5 minutes to the LGA Marriot than to burn 45 minutes each way to downtown. The much-maligned Monarch is one of my favorites so I can hit Mt Talbert Park for a run. I can see how frustrating that job would be.
I am feeling the frustration of waiting on FAs that I didn't really have in years past. Especially now when it seems like more and more will sit on their phones one gate over and not come over to relieve the outgoing crew until they absolutely have to. I just stand there and give them the death stare.

I don't want to spend 20 hours at the LGA Marriott.

But just goes to show you you're going to have 9000 different opinions on what makes a good hotel. I wish we could just click on our preference from a list of hotels, then walk off the airplane as soon as your job is done to an Uber.

That is the new normal for the FAs No more than 30 min before push. The jacked up part of the 30 minutes before push is that when the plane is running late, they still use the 30 min before the new push time .I have seen several commuters not make their flights due to this, our FAs are truly the laziest in the industry.
We definitely need different hotels from them. Some flight attendants are still on a vendetta to get pilots fired.

100% a couple airport close and a couple not airport and you choose a min of 3 days out otherwise chosen by default. Come on, let's get real industry leading with new ideas.

Absolutely he is. Yet some use his words here as gospel. As for voting no on hotels. Better hotels are industry std . I can guarantee you the other 3, spirit and others stay at better properties than we do. Does each have an outlier here and there. Sure. But ours tend to be far worse. We spend half the year in our dirtbag hotels. Yet some don’t think it’s worth fixing.
