I've got my app in over at SWA and live in the Dallas area. I've been hearing DAL is starting to go junior for FOs. Newhires are getting it 3 months after training from what I've been told.

Does anyone know what the DOH for the most junior captain is in DAL? Trying to decide to do I suck it up at my ACMI with the terrible schedules and upgrade in a year on the 767 or go to SWA. Thanks!

The last couple vacancies show DAL in 6-7 months from DOH. Of course that could change, but 3 months is not the case right now...

In the grand scheme of things…4-5 months of commuting is no bid deal when the end game is driving to work.

Here I am considering changing the standing bid if it looks like I can’t hold DEN CA on this next bid. In my head, “I’ll prob finish UOE early May so it’s only 2-3 commutes to LAS or PHX”.

Hoping for some good numbers to keep Midwest people in their time zone and enough vacancies to snag a DEN spot.

I was just talking with my BBQ buddy about that. Crazy how long a month is when you’re anxiously awaiting the next vacancy bid isn’t it? Only thing that’s longer is the week leading up to the bid closing! I’ve got my fingers crossed for you. Hoping you guys are in class together so we can plan to get you off campus for some food and adult beverages to celebrate!

Really looking forward to that.

The movement is crazy, and it looks like many people are at least putting in their contingencies.... In my individual vacancy view, the FO Bidding CA number shot up by 13 numbers since I last looked. Let the scheming begin... 🤣

One thing I've learned in the last year or so of carefully watching and over-analizing (emphasis on the anal) the individual vacancy view, is that a LOT more people than I would have guessed are playing the contingency game.

So make sure you can live with what you bid, you might be surprised by the results.
